Happy Friday

The boys are pretty crazy about this little kitty. They carry her around everywhere. Yesterday, Jackson put her in a box and carried her all over the yard, saying to her the whole time, "it's okay Puddin', you're gonna be okay. awww, it's okay girl".

The boys & I spent a morning hanging out with Scott's grandparents. Their yard is full of acorns, which I love. Maw Maw (as my boys call her) helped me fill up a bucket to bring home and craft with. As I mentioned in this post, I have been wanting to paint some and use them in a display for my table. I love the way they turned out, but they didn't look right for what I had originally wanted them for. So, any ideas on how to use them now?

I had a girls night out with my crafting buddies Amy, Kelly & Christa. I love these girls. We had such a good time, and I'm telling you, we're pretty wild. We spent the first part of the evening at Barnes & Noble looking through sewing and cooking books. Then, the girls took me to Sonic. It was my first time and I loved it. Like I said, pretty wild :)

Scott & I are getting away for the weekend. We are going to spend a couple days at a cabin in the mountains, and I'm so looking forward to it. Relaxing, eating dinner out (w/out small children), touring a vineyard, riding bikes on the Creeper Trail. I love weekend getaways with my hubby.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I'm linking up.

Your boys with that little cat is the cutest thing!!
Can you string those acorns up somehow and use them like garland? Or perhaps put them in a clear jar/bowl and use as a centerpiece? I am sure whatever you do with them will turn out lovely!!
    Have a wonderful weekend!!
