InstaFriday

As always, I'm glad the weekend is here. We are going away with three other couples this weekend. No kids. We are headed to a cabin in the mountains, and I couldn't be more excited.

Last Friday I spent the day with my Mom and her cousin. We drove up to the mountains, where it was COLD and rainy, but we still had so much fun. We did a little shopping, had lunch, drank coffee, and laughed a whole lot.

The boys had been asking to see Puss in Boots. Or as they call it, Hoo Shoo Boots, which I much prefer. So, on Sunday evening we ventured out to the movie theater. About halfway through the movie Grayson leaned over and said, "I don't like this movie anymore". So he and I snuck out and hung out at Starbucks until it was time to go back and pick up Daddy and Jackson. I have to say, I'm really glad it turned out this way. I don't get to spend much alone time with this little guy, and I really enjoyed hanging out with him.

This beauty came in the mail this week. I started making my own yarn wreath about a year ago. I finally came to terms with the fact that I was never going to finish it, and even if I did it wouldn't look anything like this. So I commissioned Danielle to make one for me, and I am absolutely in love with it.

This is the first year that we have participated in Halloween. I never went trick or treating as a kid (gasp!), so it wasn't really something that I cared about doing. But my husband has lots of fun memories of Halloween, so he wanted to join in this year. I'm glad we did because the boys loved it. I bought their costumes a couple of weeks early, and they wore them nearly every day leading up to Halloween. We ate dinner at my parents house that evening with my sister and her family, and then we took the kids around my parents neighborhood. It was really a lot of fun.

Our guys were a little under the weather this week, so we spent lots of time hanging out, laying around, watching movies and snuggling. Babies (yes, I still call my boys babies) are the most snuggly when they are sick. I love those under the weather snuggles.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
