A Month of Thanksgiving: The Little Things

I'm thankful for a Mother who offers to take my oldest so I can rest while my youngest is napping, because she knows I've had a headache all day.

I'm thankful for beautiful sunny days, and a yard full of colorful fallen leaves.

I'm thankful for parents who are still happily married, and who love each other very much.

I'm thankful for the silence and the cup of hot chocolate I sip on after the boys have gone to bed.

I'm thankful for coffee dates with good friends.

I'm thankful that I'm able to be a stay at home Mom.

I'm thankful for my pretty dining room chairs, newly refinished for me by an old friend

I'm thankful for hugs and goodnight kisses from my guys.

I'm thankful for date nights.

I'm thankful for silly little boys.

I'm thankful for a husband who is willing to get take out for dinner because he knows it's been a long day and I just don't feel like cooking.

I'm thankful for a sister who comes over to visit while my husband is out of town, and brings me Starbucks.

I'm thankful for pretty packages that arrive in the mail.

What are you thankful for today?

  4. I'm thankful for the hurting children that God brings into our house, and for His love in my to help the hurting children He brings into our home. (Let me specify, I'm not thankful that the children are hurting, but that in this world of sin, God still heals).
