Revel in the Fun

For one of our Advent activities last week the boys and I made Christmas cookies.

We've never had such a mess. But we had so much fun. It was good for me, to just ignore the mess and revel in the fun. To forget that there were 6,435 sprinkles on the floor and enjoy the smiles on my boys faces.

They won't be little forever. One day they won't want to sit down at the table for hours and cut out and decorate cookies with me. I want to enjoy these little moments. I DO enjoy these little moments. They are truly the best parts of my day.

And who knows...maybe they will still want to decorate cookies with their Mama when they are 16 (I can dream, right :)
