Meet my new friend Rachel of Love Is Rising.

"My name is Rachel, lovely to meet you. I studied PR and Fashion in college, but now I'm a mama, wife and etsy shop owner! I started my shop soon after my hubby and I started our adoption process. I have wanted my own etsy shop since college, and finally got up the guts to try it and i LOVE it. I love the process of creating (start to finish), meeting new friends and funding our adoption in a fun and new way. When i’m not designing, I enjoy traveling, finding treasures at antique stores, eating veggies out of our garden and spending time with my husband and baby. Eek!! I can't wait till we're able to adopt and meet our new baby. So yes, I'm pregnant "in my heart." Cheesy, I know, but go with it."

Momma In Crisis

Some days I feel like I am doing everything wrong as a parent. Today is one of those days. The hitting, the scratching, the tantrums, the fights, the refusing to eat, the crying (from all three of us), the potty training, the feeling like day after day after day is EXACTLY THE SAME. Sometimes it's just all more than I can handle. I try to discipline the "right" way and to teach my children to be kind and love each other. But sometimes it feels like they just don't get it, which means I must be doing something wrong. Right?
I wish I could figure out what that something is. If you have the secret to parenting success, please, for the sake of my sanity, let's chat!
But in the meantime, there's a pile of Legos calling my name.

Home Is Where The Hoop Art Is

I have been loving this hoop art craze of late. I knew I wanted to do something handmade for my Mom and MIL for Mother's Day, and I thought hoop art would be perfect. I'm totally hooked. I'm already working on one for myself, and have about 6 others in mind that I want to make. I love the way these turned out, and the mother's loved them too!
